Heaven forbid I should tell a friend of mine I'm not a feminist.
I've never felt so ganged-up on in my life, and by people I usually trust, no less. I didn't even say I was an anti-feminist...just that I'm not a feminist.
Ouch.
I don't feel all that well right now.

I feel ya!! I have learned not to use the "f" word around my sister who is not only a feminist, but a socialist! eek!

Yup, been there done that. Not so much with feminism but the fact that I am a home-schooler and even the fact that I'm protestant. What's bad is, as you said, it was people that I "trusted." Actually, the worst time was during a bible study! I know how you feel, but you would feel a lot worse (as I have in the past) if you had given in and betrayed your true beliefs. I know that that sounds sappy, but it is true!
